Initiated by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Industry, Climate Action and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, sponsored by NRW.BANK and hosted by Founders Foundation, OOTB.NRW brings the state’s most ambitious founders onto one stage. 27 startups compete. Three win €50,000 in prize money. The journey leads to the live pitch finale at the Hinterland of Things Conference, the heart of B2B entrepreneurship.
If you’re selected as one of the Top 27 Startups in 2027, you’ll increase visibility for your brand, gain credibility for your business model, and attract the attention of leading figures in business and venture capital. The top 10 startups will have the opportunity to pitch their digital startup ideas to an audience of high-profile investors, corporate decision-makers, and potential customers.

The NRW.BANK will be handing out €50,000 to the top three startups in the region ‑ making it one of the highest prize awards in Germany. The finalists and winners are selected by a jury of investors, industry leaders, and the community.
